Description:

This 1987 has the two-color deck that's very popular. It has some manufacturing flaws where the deck gel-coat colors meet. Super clean on the inside without cushions. This boat is an excellent candidate for an indoor/outdoor rug to replace the cushions. The boat has a jib and main in good condition. The cove and boot tape has been replaced. The hull has been buffed and waxed and looks great. The last picture below shows the buff and wax and trailer fenders painted.

Most sailors grow in sailing as they get older. They keep their boats between 3 and 5 years and then move on to the next boat. If this rare Mark II 19 is maintained in it's present condition, the owner will make money when it comes time to change boats. That's the best way to grow in sailing.

This boat has not been completely reconditioned. That helps keep the price low. It needs new bottom paint, teak refinished and the cosmetic deck flaws repaired to put it that condition. Cost estimate for a complete restoration is $9,500.

This boat would be a great candidate for a Pilothouse conversion or a diesel installation. Either modification would cost about $10K extra. I would sail the boat for a year or two and then consider those modifications. Other 19 owners have decided on making their boat the ultimate trailable sailboat. We need about 3 months to do major modifications with catbird seats, hull paint and a Horizon Cat trailer. Pretty boat:
