Optional Configuration as Power Launch or Sailing Catboat. Big or Small Diesel Engine selected for intended purpose and Trailer.
This old boat has a great hull and deck. It has pretty lines and it could be just about anything except maybe a ski boat. Our plan is to reconfigure the cockpit. The seats will be removed and the cockpit will have a flat floor except for the box that covers the engine. Stepping on the boat from the dock will be easy and working in the cockpit will also be easy with all that space. The Launch configuration will have a house with windows and an overhead hatch. The Helm will be in the center of the house with bunks on both sides. The head will be located forward. If the Launch is to be used as a Tow Boat, a larger diesel engine could be fitted. The Catboat configuration will use the existing centerboard and have a smaller diesel motor. It will also have a folding mast and a teak boom gallows. Colors are currently going to be a cream deck and white hull. Opening bronze ports will be standard on both models.
Catboats were originally designed as workboats. This one could be a workboat again, but built in fiberglass and other long lasting materials. I really like diesel motors in little boats that go on trailers.
Modifications and restorations are limited by time and labor availability. Get your order in early.
