Pointing Competition

What do the graphics show? The first window is your speed going into the tack. The boat can tack any time after it gets the green light in the center window. You need to get as much speed as possible for a good tack. The second window shows the percentage of speed achieved on the second leg compared to the first leg. It is normally less than 100%. The middle window with the green background displays the tack angle achieved. The fourth and fifth windows show the exact course sailed. The software reports the results with north being at the top of the device. Winners, and I'm sure there will be more than one, will have a fast second leg speed compared to their first leg speed and a good (90 degrees or better) tack angle. Submit 4 of your best tacks as one entry for the competition. Send them to The Sailboat Company by email and they will be published here.
